Tuck — Privacy Policy

Overview

Tuck is an expense-tracking app for iPhone published by TeqWiz ("we," "us," or "our"). Tuck is built to be private by design: it has no account or login, and your expense data is stored on your device. This policy explains what limited information leaves your device, why, and your choices. It applies to the Tuck iOS app and is specific to Tuck.

Data Stored on Your Device

Your expenses, receipt images, categories, budgets, recurring bills, family members, and business/expense-report details are stored locally on your device. We do not host an account for you, and this data is not uploaded to us as a profile. If you delete the app or use the in-app "Delete Data" option, this data is removed from your device.

Information That Leaves Your Device

Tuck works offline for manual tracking. A few optional features send limited data to our secure processing service (and, where noted, a third-party AI provider) solely to perform the task you requested:

• Receipt scanning (OCR): when you scan a receipt, the receipt image is sent to our processing service and a third-party AI provider only to read its text (merchant, total, date). It is used only to return that result.
• Smart categories & insights: when used, an expense's description/merchant or a brief spending summary is sent to suggest a category or generate an insight. It is used only to return that suggestion.
• App identifier: a random, per-install identifier (not your name, email, or Apple ID) is used to authenticate your app to our service.
• Subscriptions: Tuck+ and Tuck Family subscriptions are processed through Apple and our subscription provider (RevenueCat) to validate and restore purchases. Apple handles your payment; we never receive your card details.

This data is used only to provide these features. It is notsold, not used for advertising, and not used to track you across other apps or websites.

No Tracking, No Ads, No Analytics SDKs

Tuck contains no advertising, no third-party tracking, and no analytics or cross-app tracking SDKs. We do not build advertising profiles and do not share data with data brokers.

Permissions Tuck May Request

• Camera: to photograph receipts for scanning.
• Photo Library: to import a receipt image you choose.
• Microphone / Speech Recognition: to add an expense by voice (dictation is handled by iOS).
• Notifications: optional reminders for recurring bills (scheduled on your device).

You can grant or revoke any of these in iOS Settings at any time.

Data Retention

On-device data remains until you delete it or remove the app. Data sent for receipt scanning, categorization, or insights is processed to fulfill your request and is not used to build a profile of you or sold to anyone.

Your Choices & Rights

• Use Tuck without scanning — manual and voice entry never send a receipt image.
• Delete your data at any time from the app's Settings, or by deleting the app.
• Manage or cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions.
• Contact us to ask questions or request information about your data.

Children's Privacy

Tuck is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the app or legal requirements. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last Updated" date.
